Copy Manager
Get all your pack copy collated and approved in one place
Getting the pack copy right early in the artwork cycle can significantly reduce the time it takes to get to print. Some companies juggle excel files for each product and keep following up with department users and translation agencies to add and update copy information. Others just send copy information directly to the designer who now has to collate emails and files to arrive at the final pack copy. Either way it’s a mess with missing information, incorrect and inconsistent text and sometimes wrong translations.
Let ManageArtworks Copy Manager do the work for you! It gets all department users and translation agencies into one place where they can add, update and approve the pack copy easily.

What can you do with Copy Manager?
Copy Elements
Department users can add copy elements from a pre-defined master list of elements or create new copy elements on their own. Let’s see some examples of copy elements:
- Product Identity
- Brand name
- Sub-brand name
- Variant...
- Net Content
- Warning and Caution Statements
- Usage Instructions
- Ingredients
- Consumer Relations info
- Nutrition Facts
- Manufacturing and Distribution information
- Trademarks and Copyright information
- Marketing Claims
Copy elements can be grouped into categories. They can be duplicated, e.g. there can be 3 Marketing Claims copy element with different content. There is no limit on the amount of content that can be added to an element. A rich text editor allows formatting of text like bold, Italics, bullet points, etc.

Copy Sheets
Components or Piece of Art (POA)
The copy sheet can include multiple components and each copy element can be tagged to one or more components. E.g. if there is a Front Label and a Back Label, the copy elements can be tagged to say which ones will appear in the Front Label and which ones in the Back Label...
This gives explicit instructions to the designer on where the text should appear. The list of components could be across pack sizes also, E.g. 12 oz. FOP, 12 oz. BOP, 24 oz. FOP and 24 oz. BOP. So, with access to one copy sheet, the designer knows exactly what text should appear and on which component

Editors and Approvers
A workflow takes each copy element to an editor and approver. Each time the content changes, the version number is incremented. So, different copy elements could be at different stages of approval with different versions. Editors and Approvers may be from the same department or from different departments...
e.g. Marketing claims are added by Marketing and approved by Regulatory. The status of the copy element changes as it goes through the workflow until its finally ‘Approved’. Deadlines can also be set for each copy element. Tasks are assigned to users and are visible in their inbox and through an email alert

Everyone on the same page
Everyone who is an editor or approver has full visibility to all the content across all the components. Everyone can comment on any copy element but editing is restricted to the assigned editors only. They will be able to see all the content across copy elements and components and can make sure, that they are correct and consistent
Reuse Copy
Copy sheets can be copied and edited to create new copy sheets. Content entered for each copy element can be looked up to reuse the same content in another element. E.g. if a 12 oz. copy sheet is available, it can be copied to make a 24 oz. copy sheet, where most of the information might remain the same and a only a few would change
Language support
Each copy sheet and element can be assigned multiple languages and content for these languages can be added and updated. The workflow prioritize one language following which relevant translations can be made. Translation agencies can directly enter text onto the copy sheet, if they are a part of the copy manager platform
