Responsibility

‍

• Migration of MS SQL DB to PostgreSQL

• Coordinate with DevOps team and IT team for management of all the databases

• Managing the Azure managed Postgresql database and develop SOP.

• Database Management - Create and maintain PostgreSQL database objects, such as triggers, indexes, and views.

• Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure smooth operations.

• Implement regular backups and disaster recovery plans.

• Schedule server maintenance, manage tablespaces, and develop automation tools for data loading.

Skills required

‍

• A solid foundation in SQL, including PostgreSQL, is crucial. Understand writing queries, table relationships, and data manipulation.

• In-depth understanding of data management practices, including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring.

• Familiarity with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
