E-Commerce Integration for CPG Industry

E-Commerce Integration for CPG Industry

E-Commerce Sales are increasing consistently. This poses a challenge to companies managing multiple SKUs. Providing accurate product data helps your retailers sell your products with ease. For this to happen, you need to be sure that all retailers have access to consistent information not only about new products you release but also about any updates that you make to existing product data.

Presently most CPG companies are feeding new product data or updates manually to e-commerce websites.

ManageArtworks system equipped with its Copy Manager module can export formats shared with data pools in the GDSN framework. For eCommerce portals that require data in any other format, the ManageArtworks system can be configured to generate any type of output format.

Sync your product updates

When you introduce a new product or make changes to existing ones, you need to ensure that the change is reflected in the e-commerce retail platforms. In case there is a change in say, the nutrition panel of an SKU, your team will have to share a new product image with the updated panel with every seller.

With frequent changes taking place in SKUs to keep up with consumers’ demands, teams often forget to relay all or some of these modifications in the supplier portal of the e-commerce websites.

An easier way to deal with this issue is to share a permanent URL in the suppliers’ portals of Amazon, Walmart, Krogers, etc. with the help of ManageArtwork’s Copy Manager. This link can be used by their external systems to retrieve data.

Once you update the URL with the product modification, the change will be automatically reflected across all suppliers’ portals.

This means the only time you have to manually reach out to the suppliers is when you share the permalink.

Once you’ve done that, every single time you upload a new product image or change an existing one, the consumer will be seeing the updated information on his screen. Basically you can push metadata and assets to external systems.

There is no need to take out time and manually feed information to every retailer’s website or e-commerce system or GSDN data pool every time you need to convey the change.

Export product data in any format

For eCommerce portals that require data in any other format, the ManageArtworks system can be configured to generate any type of output format. The CopyManager allows the user to export and store images in any format – JPEG 2000, JPEG XR, WebP, PNG, XML, etc.

In essence, retailers in an increasingly e-commerce-driven retail environment, need quality metadata, and powerful search platforms to motivate customers to make purchasing decisions.

Sometimes their inability to easily deliver complete and accurate product information puts them at a severe disadvantage. Skipping out on updating a warning statement in one of the websites can even lead to litigation. With the ManageArtworks platform, these risks are mitigated conveniently.

We help you be proactive pre-sales so that you’re not reactive post-sales.
